Sam Neumann

4th Year, Northeastern University

Howdy folks, how’s it going? My name is Samuel Neumann, a fourth year combined Computer Engineering/Science major at Northeastern and I’m wicked excited to be serving as this years CC president. The Catholic Center has had a major impact on my college experience or rather a major impact on my life. It’s where I came to understand what it means to be part of a genuine community of dedicated people, who want to strive after the Lord together. I love coffee, dogs, any sort of game, and of course Jesus. If you ever want to hang out to grab lunch, play cards, or honestly whatever I’m game. See you soon!

“If they had been thinking of the land from which they had come, they would have had opportunity to return. But now they desire a better homeland, a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them. “
– Hebrews 11:15-16

Hey everyone! I’m Matt and I’m a fourth year Criminal Justice and Psychology student at Northeastern. I grew up in the Philadelphia area and I love all things Philly, Go Birds!! In my free time, I love watching or playing sports, board games, playing guitar and constantly quoting vines and SpongeBob. Over the past 3 years, I have found my faith and a second family at the Catholic Center and I can’t wait to give back and bring the joy of this amazing community to everyone I meet!

“It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you”

Hello Everyone! My name is Ana Sobrino and I am from a suburb of Houston called Sugar Land. Currently I am a second year at Northeastern majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience! I come from a mexican family and in my free time I love to draw, play volleyball and explore the city. The past year, the Catholic Center has become a home away from home and a place where I have been able to grow deeper in my relationship with the Lord. I am excited to see what He has in store for us this year!

“Cast your burden on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved”

Hello friends! My name is Alyssa Pereira and I am a third year Physical Therapy major at Northeastern. I’m from New Bedford, MA and come from a loud and large Portuguese family. I love movies, road trips, cheesy jokes, pizza & frisbee on the beach, and laughing with friends over coffee. I have found so much joy in the CC community and it has transformed my faith and led me to a deeper relationship with the Lord. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you more deeply and to witness the Lord working in this community!

“And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Hello, everyone! My name is Alexandre and I am currently a second-year student at Northeastern majoring in chemistry. Although originally from France, I also consider Philadelphia to be home. In my free time, I enjoy playing with the pep band, being at hockey games, and studying up on history. During my time here, the Catholic Center has enabled me to become more active in my faith and has helped me dive deeper into it. I am humbled to be able to serve you all, and I cannot wait to see how the Lord will work in each and every one of us.

“I command you: be strong and steadfast! Do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD, your God, is with you wherever you go”.

HUB Representative

3rd Year,  Wentworth Institute of Technology

Howdy folks! My name is Nuno and I am a Computer Engineer at Wentworth Institute of Technology, bringing. Despite being born in 2000 and growing up in Massachusetts, my vocabulary draws way too much influence from everything except my own state and age group. Don’t be shy about asking me what “bodacious” actually means if you get lost. I am grateful to have spent two years with the Catholic Center and grown massively in my faith thanks to the Lord and the folks around me!

He said to them, “Because of your little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
– Matthew 17:20
